Treatment and extension leafs
Our HOLMEN dining tables are available in oak with either white or natural oil. We also make special orders, so if you have other wishes for the surface treatment, please contact us.
In addition, you have the option of adding extension leafs when you choose a HOLMEN dining table. The extension leafs make the dining table 45-50 cm longer for each plate, to make room for extra guests on those special days.
When you choose a HOLMEN dining table over others, you choose a piece of furniture made of sustainable materials. The oak that our HOLMEN dining tables are produced from is FSC-certified. This means that no more wood is felled than the forests can reproduce, and that animals and plant life are protected, and those who work in the forests are trained and receive proper safety equipment and pay.
Care and maintance
The dining tables in solid oak are oil-treated. They come in a light oil or a clear oil that suits most homes. We recommend that you oil your new dining table when you receive it and again after approximately one month. The frequency of oil treatment depends on the use of the table. If it is used a lot, it should be treated more often. If a very smooth and water-repellent surface is desired, the dining table must be treated with oil several times during the first month. If a more natural surface is desired, the table should not be treated more than a few times a year.
