Multifunctional with many design features
The CROSSBOARDER series of 3 tables was designed by Esben Pilgaard Jørgensen for MAKE nordic in 2022. The design is geometric and has a sharp expression that is well thought out and ultra sustainable. The practical construction and the simple design means that the tables can last for many years.

Versatile and multifunctional
With its simple expression, the CROSSBOARDER table fits into most Nordic homes. The multifunctional tables can be used next to the sofa as one or more coffee tables or side tables. It is also perfect as a bedside table, a small stool in the entrance hall or as a sculptural counter in the bathroom or dressing room. If you choose to use CROSSBOARDER with your modular sofa, one edge of the table can be pushed between the modules as an integrated coffee table.
Sustainable materials
The CROSSBOARDER series is produced in two types of material:
Oak tree
Certified oak veneer
Oak veneer has the beautiful glow you know and love because it matches the Nordic style perfectly. The oak comes from Northern Germany, and the tables are produced at a Danish furniture factory in Northern Jutland. Veneer is a very strong material that is treated with water-based varnish, so that the surface becomes extra resistant and is easy to maintain.
White
Really from Kvadrat
Really is a hard material that is perfect for tabletops and furniture. The basic material is recycled, white work wear. That is why the plates are white with small charming “beauty flaws” and nicks that originate from marks on the clothes. Really is produced in a Danish factory that does not use dyes, water or toxic chemicals in the manufacturing process. Only recyclable waste is generated in the process.
Sustainable shipping and packaging
CROSSBOARDER is sent as a flat pack. We can thus pack more than 7 times as many products on a pallet and save 50% of the packaging. This significantly minimizes CO2 emissions during transport, and it saves space in the warehouse and facilitates handling for both you and the carrier.
Construction and assembly
CROSSBOARDER is easily assembled from 3 boards. At the joint on the underside of the table top, there are 5 small strips of tape that you can choose to use, so that the table parts cannot be taken apart again. The construction is strong, practical and well thought out. The cross gives the table great strength and solid durability. Despite the light appearance, the small table can also be used as a stool that can support up to 100 kg.

Order
MAKE nordic’s furniture is only sold exclusively through its own online webshop in Denmark. Most of the furniture can only be found at MAKE nordic’s website. Your order is received online, but you are also more than welcome to call or write us for questions, or if you would like to order by phone and pay by bank transfer.
If you want a fabric or leather on an upholstered piece of furniture that is not seen on the webshop, please contact us and we will try to accommodate your wish. If you want a custom-made piece of furniture or special fabric that is not part of the basic collection on MAKEnordic.com be aware that the right to return cannot be exercised.
Delivery
Smaller furniture is delivered with GLS to the nearest parcel shop or to your home. Larger furniture is delivered as goods to the nearest curb, where a truck can arrive. It is possible for you to add a carry in service when you order your furniture. To make it easiest for you, we always contact you well in advance of delivery. We recommend that you have extra help present when your new furniture is delivered, if you do not choose to add on the carry in service. The delivery time is stated on the product page, so you can see the delivery time before you order.
Right of return
You have a 14-day right of withdrawal when you shop with us as a consumer. The deadline expires 14 days after the day you received or picked up your item, or get your last items in physical possession when it comes to an agreement on several different items ordered in one order, which is delivered individually.
You must tell us within the 14 days of receipt that you wish to cancel your purchase. This must be sent to info@makenordic.com or you can use the standard cancellation form at the bottom of this site. YOU must make it clear to us that you wish to exercise your right of return. It is not possible to regret simply by refusing receipt of the item without giving us clear notice of this.
The item must be returned in original packaging and in the same condition as upon receipt. If the item is delivered unused and in original packaging, the full amount will be refunded.
Returns
If you wish to cancel your purchase, you must send your order back to us without undue delay, so that we receive it no later than 14 days after you have announced that you wish to cancel your purchase. This must be agreed in collaboration with MAKE nordic. You must pay expenses in connection with the return of the product, and bear the risk of the product, from the time of delivery at your place until it is received at MAKE nordic at our warehouse in Esbjerg.
Price Guarantee
If you have bought a product no later than 30 days before and find that we have the same product at a special campaign price, we will refund the full difference between the sales price and the campaign price on a MAKE nordic giftcard.
Products excluded by the right of return
Items that are custom-made to your specifications on measurements or sofas and cushions with textiles that are not standard on our website, or products which have a clear personal touch, are exempt from the right of return.
Esben became interested in craftsmanship and production from birth when he grew up in a blacksmith family in North Jutland, where he himself is the fifth generation.
As a child, he had his daily routine in the large forging workshop, where both father, uncle and grandfather worked. At a very early age, Esben gained an in-depth knowledge of the craft and metalworking in general. And a budding creative urge arose.
Esben has a degree in Industrial Design from Aalborg University and has founded Pilgaard Design Studio.
Today, he is behind a large number of designs in both furniture and lamps, where quality and craftsmanship play a crucial role. The result is characterized by long-lasting, minimalist and classic designs.
