At MAKE nordic, sustainability plays a big role when choosing fabric for our furniture. The all-important ingredient is environmentally friendly materials, sleek design, beautiful colors and long durability.
We offer several different types of textiles – on this page you will learn more about what type of upholstery textile that best suits your needs.
Wool
All our wool textiles are of very high quality and are all Oeko-tex® certified, which is a guarantee that the textiles do not contain unnecessary hazardous chemicals. Some of the wool fabrics are even produced from recyclable materials, which help to ensure a sustainable production.
Wool sits perfectly on the sofa for many years. We also have a 10 year guarantee on the fabric from Re-wool and Hallingdal 65 from Kvadrat Textiles.
If you choose wool for your furniture, you will get a material that is very durable, and at the same time easy to clean.
Since it is a natural material, it is important to mention that some may think that wool may feel a bit scratchy. If you are in doubt about whether wool could be the right choice for you, you can order a fabric sample. In this way you will be able to feel the fabric for yourself, and find just the right upholstery for your furniture.
Polyester
All our polyester textiles are of very high quality and are all Oeko-tex® certified, which is a guarantee that the textiles do not contain unnecessary hazardous chemicals. Several of the polyester fabrics are produced from recyclable materials, which help to ensure a sustainable production.
Polyester is a comfortable material that does not scratch. It is durable and easy to maintain. Polyester is a synthetic material which makes it attractive to use both alone or in blend with other fibers in textile production.
Due to the lack of elasticity the fabric may create some folds when being used.
